End of Life Care...The Loss of a Beloved Pet
The loss of a beloved pet is like loosing a part of our family. It can be one of the hardest decisions we as pet caretakers have to make. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as we do. If your pet has been diagnosed with a terminal condition, has a life threatening injury, or its health has deteriorated with age, please speak to our veterinarian's about treatments and further prognosis.
Deciding to euthanize is however one of the most selfless and humane decisions that you can make. Quality of life is important for pets and people alike. Our compassionate veterinary team is here to assist you as you weigh this difficult decision. We are available to discuss all aspects of end of life care. We are here to answer any questions you may have and to support you in this decision. We are truly dedicated to making this process as less stressful to you as possible.
Our hospital offers Euthanasia services and Pet Cremation services. If you determine euthanasia is appropriate, we will provide pet euthanasia service at our hospital. We strive to provide privacy and a stress free environment during this process. We are here to support you and a staff member will be with you through this process. Wheatfield Animal Hospital can also coordinate cremation services for your pet. You have the option of a group cremation, or a private cremation, which enables your pet's ashes to be returned to you. Please contact us to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions.
